Noah Keller, DO
Chief Resident - Class of 2007
Current Position: Attending Physician at a Community-Based Level II Trauma Center
About Residency: Nothing lacing from training - I am currently working with same year graduates from 5 other residencies and feel as well trained or better than all others.
About Buffalo: Very inexpensive cost of living - well maintained streets
Additional Comments: Multiple training sites at SUNY at Buffalo prepare residents for work in ANY emergency medicine situation or opportunity.

Michael Mineo, MD
Chief Resident - Class of 2007
Current Position: Attending Physician, Brooks Memorial Hospital, United Memorial Medical Center (UMMC), Buffalo General Hospital, Erie County Medical Center. I am full-time at UMMC and Brooks and per diem at Erie County Medical Center and Buffalo General Hospital.
About Residency: Great training in a friendly environment - training in multiple teaching sites made it easier to join a group that staffs several departments.
About Buffalo: Buffalo is a great city for residency training because it is affordable, easy to get around, and plenty to do. There is both a vibrant night life and an abundance of outdoor activities.

Dana Watanabe, MD
Class of 2007
Current Position: Attending Physician, Queen's Medical Center, Honolulu, Hawaii. Queen's Medical Center is a group practice in a busy trauma, tertiary care facility
About Residency: I gained experience in blunt and penetrating trauma and many procedures. Unlike many other programs, SUNY at Buffalo residents train in various practice settings, including rural and urban. But perhaps the thing I enjoyed the most were my classmates, other staff and attendings. It was a down to earth group of people.
About Buffalo: The cost of living is low and the people are friendly. My husband and I miss the freshwater fishing, the drive-in theaters, minimal traffic, Target and Wegmans.
Additional Comments: The SUNY at Buffalo Emergency Medicine Residency Program is capable of getting you a job ANYWHERE!
Research Project During Residency: HEDSS - Harvard Emergency Department Safety Study
