How to Graduate
|
1. Acceptable performance on all clinical rotations. This will be determined by the designated rotation director subject to final verification by the Program Director. 2. No unexcused absences from Grand Rounds/Study Sessions. Present Grand Rounds lectures as requested. The current requirement is for six lectures in three years. Remedial activity will be assigned for unexcused absences. 3. Compliance with Duty Hours: You must comply with duty hour regulations. If you are scheduled to work and you think it may violate duty hours, you need to let us know so that we can correct it! This applies to "off-service" as well as ED rotations. 4. Complete the ABEM In-Training Exam in each year of residency (administered on the last Wednesday in February). 5. Satisfactory completion of "Scholarly Track" requirements. 6. Successful completion of ACLS, ATLS, and PALS courses. 7. Complete UB orientation and any required University paperwork, work hour surveys, UB graduate survey (in 3rd year), etc. 8. Attend UB "Master Sessions". 9. Complete "Medicare Compliance" training. 10. Return pagers and other Department or University owned equipment or materials (books, videos, computers, keys, etc.). 11. Complete any additional requirements as determined by the Departmental Education Committee (you will be notified in time to complete any additional requirements). 18. Achieve a passing grade on the EKG and Procedural Competency Exams (passing score will be determined by the Education Committee). 19. Pass USMLE Step III Exam. 20. Enjoy your residency. 22.
